Jim Bertone, LCSW, LCADC
Jim graduated from UNLV with a Master’s in Social Work and an undergraduate degree in psychology. He is licensed in Nevada for clinical social work and clinical drug and alcohol counseling. Jim has 30 years of experience treating adults who present with mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues and, as such, is well trained in the principles of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Jim has served clients in southern and northern Nevada in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Jim’s treatment emphasis is on the practice of individualizing care through evidenced-based approaches that support a client’s right to define the area of desired change and what they see as possible outcomes. Jim offers basic instruction into a Mindfulness meditation practice as a part of any ongoing therapy process. Jim is currently a resident of Reno and shares his life journey with his wife, two adult daughters and two Persian cats.
